The National Orchid Garden in Singapore, nestled within the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Singapore Botanic Gardens, is a must-visit destination. Here, you'll encounter a breathtaking array of over 1,000 species and 2,000 hybrids of orchids, each captivating with its vibrant colors and enchanting fragrances. Among these floral treasures, you'll find the iconic Vanda Miss Joaquim, Singapore's national flower and a unique symbol of the nation's rich botanical heritage. This remarkable orchid, the only one of its kind in the world, was meticulously crafted in the 1890s through the ingenious crossbreeding of two distinct flower species.
A brilliant day.
Top rated garden, so well maintained
This is a beautiful garden to go to! I recommend seeing it and if you get too hot exploring there is an icy ‘cool room’ filled with orchids as well. Bathrooms are so well maintained, there is also a water fountain to refill your water bottle with icy cold water and service from staff is exceptional. Definitely a must visit.
Very beautiful spot to visit! They rotate some of the orchids so there's always blooms everywhere! Great for plant enthusiasts or as a Singapore photo spot! Plan ahead and bring mosquito repellent before going though !
